Medical Association of Heraklion

The Medical Association of Heraklion was founded as other Medical Associations of the country in 1923 . During the first core were the surviving members of the Medical Society of Heraklion , founded in 1904 . Several of them had played a leading role in the latest Cretan Revolutions and the organization and operation of the Cretan State . He also excelled in the Macedonian Struggle, the Balkan Wars , the First World War and the life of the country , like the later members of the Association . First President of the Medical Association of Heraklion , was Gregory Cambanis [ 1869 - 1936 ] , a man with considerable general knowledge and rich scientific and social activity .
